Step-by-step explanation:

p of square=p of rectangle

side of rectangle=60&80

p=2(60+80)

=280

again,

p of square =280=4×sides

side=70

area of square=4900

area of rectangle=4800

hence. square has greater area

Ans. Given: The side of a square = 60 m

And the length of rectangular field = 80 m

According to question,

Perimeter of rectangular = Perimeter of square

2( l + b ). = 4 × side

2 ( 80m + b ) = 4× 60m

2 ( 80m + b ) = 240m

80m + b = 240m/2

80m + b = 120m

b = 120m - 80m

b = 40 m

Now , Area of Square field = ( side )^2

= ( 60m )^2

= 3600 m^2. And Area of Rectangular field

= length × breadth = 80m × 40m

= 3200 m^2

Hence, area of square field is larger.
