a² + b² = ( a - b) ²+2ab

a² + b² = ( a+b ) ² - 2ab

We have ,

 {a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}
If u r asking about it in terms of Pythagoras theorem then

 {a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}  \:  =  {c}^{2}

and there is Arithmetic formula -

 {a}^{2}  \:  +  {b}^{2}  \:  =  {(a + b)}^{2}  - 2ab \\  \\  \: or \:  {(a + b)}^{2}  + 2ab
