area of square = 100*100=10000
area of square after path
new side = 100-10=90
new area = 90*90
8100
area 10000-8100= 1900

Hope it helped u!

ArjunIsCool: The total area of the park is (100*100) = 10,000m^2

The road covers 90m on 2 of the sides of the park, and 100m on the other 2 sides, so:

90*5 = 450 (5 because the width of the road is 5m)
450*2 = 900 (2 because there are 2 sides in which the road covers 90m)

100*5 = 500
500*2 = 1,000

So now we add them to find the total area the road covers:

900+1000 = 1,900m^2
ArjunIsCool: sorry for br
sourabhpathak: thank you
