The area of garden is 841 sq.m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the side of square garden be x

Area of garden =x^2

A square Garden is surrounded by 1.5 m wide path.

So, Outer side = x+1.5+1.5=x+3

Outer area =(x+3)^2

Area of path = Outer area - Inner area

Area of path =(x+3)^2-x^2

Area of the path is 183 m square

So,183=(x+3)^2-x^2

3(2x+3)=183

x=29

Area of garden = x^2=29^2 = 841 m^2

Hence The area of garden is 841 sq.m.
