If its perimeter is 40 then each side measures 10cm. Consider one of the diagonal as 'X'.
So by using pythogaros theory,
10²+10²=X²
X=10√2
now sum of two diagonals= twice of X = 2x10√2= 20√2
So by using pythogaros theory,
10²+10²=X²
X=10√2
now sum of two diagonals= twice of X = 2x10√2= 20√2
