side of square = 60cm
perimeter of square = 4 × side
= 4 × 60 = 240 cm
Area of square = side² = 60² = 3600 cm²
A rectangle with the same perimeter has a side 70 cm.
Perimeter of rectangle =
2(l+b) = 2(70 + b) = 240
70 + b = 120
b = 120 - 70
b = 50 cm
Area of rectangle = l×b = 70 × 50 = 3500cm²
Perimeter of square is equal to the perimeter of rectangle.
Area of square is more than Area of rectangle.
Hope it helps
