We have ,
(a) Perimeter of square = 40cm
=> 4 × side = 40
=> side = 40/4
=> side = 10cm
&
(b) Ar. of square = ( side )^2
= 10^2
= 100cm.
Hence, side of square is 10 cm and it's area is 100cm^2.
