Given :  A square is inscribed a circle whose perimeter is 32 cm

To Find :  the area of shaded region?

Solution:

Perimeter of Square = 4 * side

=> 32 = 4 * side

=> side = 8 cm

Area of Square = side² = 8²  = 64 cm²

Diagonal = √8² + 8²  = 8√2  cm

Diagonal  = Diameter of circle = 8√2  cm

Radius of circle = Diameter /2  = 8√2 / 2  = 4√2  cm

Area of circle  = πr²

= π ( 4√2)²

=  32π

π = 3.14

= 100.48 cm²

Area of shaded region  = 100.48 -  64   = 36.48   cm²
