A square is not similar to a rectangle. Why?​

square has all equal side but opposite sides ofthe rectangle are equal

and diagonal in square bisect each other perpendicularly but not in rectangle

There how many/ several reasons behind the statementthat square is not similar to rectanle.

Here is the main difference between square and rectangle

▪️ The square have all sides equal but rectangle does not have all of its sides equal.

Now , let's know something more about square and rectangle.

=> Square - ▪️ The formula for finding the area of square is s × s i.e. side × side

▪️ The formula for perimeter of square is - P = 4a. i.e. 4 × sides. Here a means side

▪️ The 3D shape of square is a cube

=> Rectangle - ▪️ The formula for finding the area of rectangle is - l × b i.e. lenght × breath.

▪️ The formula for finding the perimeter of rectangle is - 2(l + b) i.e. 2 × lenght × breath. Here l means length and b means breath.

▪️ The 3D shape of rectangle is a cuboid.
