Let side of square lawn be x m

and path is made outside the lawn .

Than area of path = (x+8)²-x² (as area of square is side*side)

so,

(x+8)² - x² = 192

x²+16x+64 - x² = 192

16(x+4) = 192

x+4 = 12

x = 8m ..

so,

area of square lawn = 8² = 64m² (Ans)
