Answer:

length of the square lawn=15m

since the path has uniform width;

length of the path = 15+2=17m

area of the entire field (lawn + path)=17 * 17 =289 sq.m

area of the lawn=15 * 15=225 sq.m

area of the path=289-225=64 sq. m

Answer:

area of square lawn = a^2

                                 = 15 * 15

                                  = 225 m^2

ide = 15 + 2 + 2

     = 19 m

area of square including pathway = a^2

                                                       = 19 * 19

                                                       = 361 m^2

area of pathway = area of square including pathway - area of square lawn

                          = 361 - 225

                          = 136 m^2
