Area of square lobby = 18×18
Area of square carpet = 13×13
Area of uncovered lobby = area of lobby - area of cover.

=> 324-169
=> 155 m^2

area \: of \: the \: lobby = {18}^{2} \\ \\ = 324 m^2 \\ \\ area \: of \: the \: carpet = {13}^{2} \\ \\ = 169 m^2 \\ \\ \: left \: area\: of \: lobby \: = 324 - 169 \\ \\ = 155 m ^ 2
