Answer:

 \huge \boxed{Formulae :-}

 \huge \mathcal \pink {The \:rectangle }

➥Area = length *breath = l*b

daigonal \:  =  \:  \sqrt{ {l}^{2} \times +   {b}^{2} }

 \huge \mathcal \pink {The\: square }

➥Area = (side )^2 = a^2

diagonal \:   =  \sqrt{ {a}^{2}  +  {a}^{2} }  =  \sqrt{ {2a}^{2} }  =  \sqrt{2 \times area}

\huge\underline\mathfrak\green {SOLUTION:}

❥Let the breadth of rectangular plot = b m

and length l = 5 dam

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 50 m (1 dam = 10m)

We are given,

⠀⠀ perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square

➵2 (50 +b) = 4*40 ( perimeter of square =4*side )

➵50+b = 160/2 = 80

➵b= 80-50 =30 m

Now,

Area of rectangle = l*b

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 50*90 =1500 m^2

Area of a square =side ^2 =40^2

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 1600 m^2
