Answer:

Breadth = 8 cm.

Square has more area.

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the area of a square with side 10 cm

Area = Length x Length

Area = 10 x 10

Area = 100 cm²

Find the perimeter of the square with side 10 cm

Perimeter = 4 x Length

Perimeter = 4 x 10

Perimeter = 40 cm

Find the breadth of the rectangle with length 12 cm:

Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)

40 = 2(12 + Breadth)

12 + Breadth = 20

Breath = 20 - 12

Breadth = 8 cm

Find the area of the rectangle:

Area = Length x Breadth

Area = 12 x 8

Area = 96 cm²

Compare and see which figure has more area:

Square = 100 cm²

Rectangle = 96 cm²

100 > 96 ⇒ the square has more area

AnswerL Breadth of rectangle = 8 cm. Square has more area.
