radius \: of \: quadrant = diagonal \: of \: square  \\ = side \times  \sqrt{2}  \\  = 14 \sqrt{2} cm

area \: of \: figure =  \frac{\pi \times  {radius}^{2} }{4}  \\  = 308 {cm}^{2}

area \: of \: square =  {side}^{2}  =  {14}^{2}  = 196 {cm}^{2}

area \: of \: shaded \: region \:  = 308 - 196 = 112 {cm}^{2}
