GIVEN:-

  • A square of side 5.5cm is formed by a metal wire. the wire is reshaped into a circle without losing or gaining it's length. find the radius of the circle so formed.

TO FIND:-

  • Radius of the circle formed by the wire.

ANSWER:-

  • =>11.0

SOLUTION :-

\small\bold\red{Step \: 1}

Find the perimeter of the square.

Formula:

  • 4×Sides

=>4×5.5

=>22.0

\small\bold\red{Step \: 2}

Now as in the question it's mentioned that neither the height nor the length is lessened or broden so no matter what the diameter of the circle will be same as the perimeter of the square.

So to find the radius we will just divide the perimeter i.e., the perimeter of the square. As radius=d/2

  • =>22.0/2
  • =>11.0 or 11.

Hope it helped!
