According to the question,

⇒ Area of the remaining paper = Area of rectangular piece of paper - Area of the squared piece

\dag Calculating area of the rectangular piece of paper :

⇒ Area of rectangular paper = Length × Breadth

⇒ Area of rectangular paper = 15 × 25 cm²

⇒ Area of rectangular paper = 375 cm²

\dag Calculating area of the squared piece of paper :

⇒ Area of squared paper = Side × Side

⇒ Area of squared paper = 7 × 7 cm²

⇒ Area of squared paper = 49 cm²

Henceforth,

⇒ Area of the remaining paper = Area of rectangular piece of paper - Area of the squared piece

⇒ Area of the remaining paper = ( 375 - 49 ) cm²

⇒ Area of the remaining paper = 326 cm²

Therefore, the area of the remaining paper is 326 cm².
