Answer:

area of square =(side)square.

so,

80×80=6400cm

diameter =15

and , radius =15/2=7.5cm

pattern in circle =22/7 (we know that)

therefore,

remaining area = 6400 -22/7×7.5×7.5cm

6223.21cm.

The given question is A square of side 80 cm ,had patterns in circles of diameter 15cm laid out each touching the other.we have to find the area of the square not covered by the circles.

This is found by subtracting the area of circle from the area of square.

The area of the square is

 {a}^{2}

let a be the side of the square.

a=80 cm.

area = 80 \times 80 = 6400

The dimension of circle is

diameter=15 cm and the radius is 7.5 cm

The area of the circle is

\pi {r}^{2}

Therefore the area of circle is

area =  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {(7.5)}^{2}

176.78

Required Area = Area of the square - Area of the circle

6400 - 176.78 = 6223.22 {cm}^{2}
