A square of side 9 cm is drawn. How many squares of side 3 mm are required to cover it completely?

side of square = 9cm=90mm

side of small square = 3mm

no. of squares required to cover it =

Area of big square/ Area of small square

Area of big square = 90*90= 8100mm

Area of small square = 3*3=9mm

therefore, no. of squares required= 8100/9=900

ans. 900 squares required to cover it
