A square park has a pathway on its inside periphery. The side of the park is 1250m long. If the pathway is 2.5 m wide, find the surface area of the pathway.​

area of outer = 1250×1250

=1562500

side of inner = 1250-2.5-2.5

=1245

area of inner =1245×1245

= 1550025

area of pathway =1562500 - 1550025

= 12475
