A square park is of side 100 m. A path 5 m wide is made all around the garden inside it. Find the area of the path.​

side = 100 m

area of park = 100² = 10000 m²

side with path = 5 m + 100 m + 5 m

                        = 110 m

area of park with path = 110² = 12100 m²

area of path = area of park with path - area of park

                    = 12100 - 10000

                    = 2100 m²

Therefore, area of path is 2100 m².
