side,s = 50

path side ,ps = 2.5

total side ,ts =50+2.5

=52.5

area of square Park = s.s

= 50*50

=. 2500

Total area = 52.5*52.5 =2756.25

area of path = 2756.25-2500

= 256.25 m**2

Answer :

  • The area of the path present inside the park is 475 m².

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

  • Square park with side 50 m.

  • A path with 2.5 m width is added along the border of the park.

To Find:

  • The area of the path =?

Dimensions of Small Square would be :

= 50 - 2 × 2.5 m

=> 50 - 5 m = 45 m

Original Dimension = 50 m

Area of square = Area of Bigger Part = side²

Substituting the values in the above formula, we get,

= (50)²

= 50 x 50

= 2500 m²

So, The area of the bigger part = 2500 m²

Area of square = Area of smaller part = side²

Substituting the values in the above formula, we get,

= (45)²

= 45 x 45

= 2025.

So, the area of the smaller part = 2025 m²

Now,

Area of the Path = Area of bigger part - Area of smaller part.

Substituting the values, we get,

= 2500 m² - 2025 m²

= 475. m²

Hence, the area of the path present inside the park is 475 m².
