Given :- A square shaped floor with side 30 m is tied of chess board design and side is 60 cm.

To Find :-

  • Total black coloured squares on the floor.

Answer :-

we know that,

→ 1m = 100 cm .

so,

→ side of floor = 30m = 30 * 100 = 3000 cm .

then,

→ Area of floor = (side)² = (3000 * 3000) = 9000000 cm² .

similarly,

→ Area of each chess board design = (60)² = 3600 cm² .

then,

→ Total square design on floor = Area of floor / Area of each chess board design = 9000000/3600 = 2500 .

therefore,

→ Number of Black colored square = 2500/2 = 1250 (Ans.)
