a square shaped park ABCD of side 100m has two equal rectangular flower beds each of size 10 × 5. what is the length of the boundary of the remaining park.

Option B is right

For  Flower bed given that

Length(l)=10 m

Width(w)=5 m

∴ Perimeter of flower bed  =2×(l+w)

=2×(10+5)m

=30 m.

There are two such flower beds.

For each bed, its one length and one breadth lie on boundary of the park.

So, perimeter of both flower bed lying on park=21(2×primeter of one bed)

=21(2×30)=30 m

Now, side of square ABCD=100 m

Therefore, perimeter of ABCD=4×100 m=400 m

So, perimeter of remaining area of park=perimeter of ABCD-perimeter of both flower bed lying on park

=400−30=370 m
