perimeter = 40 cm

therefore the length,

perimeter = 4*a

P = 4 *a

40 = 4 *a

10 = a

therefore length of the square = 10 cm

therefore length of the square = 10 cmnow area of the square,

side x side = area

10 x 10 = 100 cm²

therefore the area of the square = 100 cm²
