A square sheet of paper is converted into a cylinder by rolling it along its length. What is the ratio of the base radius of cylinder to the side of the square.

\mathfrak{\huge{\pink{ANSWER-:}}}

Let side of the square be “s”. Let the radius of the cylinder be “r” Find ratio: radius to side of square = r : s The base circumference C = 2 π r =s r : s = r : 2 π r

Let the side of the square = x

Circumference of the base of cylinder

2\pi \: r \: = x

=》

 \frac{r}{x} = \frac{1}{2\pi}

 \frac{r}{x} = \frac{7}{2 \times 22}

=》 7 : 44

Hence, the ratio of the base radius to the side square = 7:44 or 1:2\pi
