A squirrel tries to climb a oily pole 14 metre high. She climbs 2 metre in first 2 minutes and slips 1 metre in alternate minute. If she continues to climb in this way, how long does he take to reach the top?

Answer: 38min

First two min she climbs up 2m and in the third min she slips down 1 m and this continues. So after 3 min she climbs up only one meter. So she reaches the height of 12 meter in 12x3=36 min. In the next two minutes she climbs up 2 more meters and reaches the top completing 14 m

So the time she took is 36+2=38 min
