The steps for temporary mounting are as follows:
1) Take a clean slide and put a drop of glycerin a the center.
2) Transfer the stained leaf peel on the slide with glycerin drop.
3) Place a coverslip over the leaf being careful not to allow any bubbles of air to get trapped in between.
4) Remove any excess glycerin from the preparation using a filter paper.
5) The slide is set to be viewed under the low power microscope.
