Solution:

A standard size bass drum has a diameter of 22 inches and is 18 inches deep

radius - diameter /2  = 22/2 = 11 inches

h = 18 inch

Volume =  πr²h

= 3.14 * (11)²   * 18

= 6,838.92  cubic inches

Jose measured the diameter of a ball as 7 inches

r = 7/2 inch

Volume  of sphere = (4/3)  πr³

= (4/3) (22/7) (7/2)³

=  11 * 7² / 3

= 539/3

= 179.67 cubic inches

Volume of pyramid =  Base area * height  = 40 * 8.25  =  330 dm³
