A started a business by investing 26000 after 3 months b joined him with rs 16000 after some more time c joined them with rs 25000 at the end of the year out of a total profit of rs 15453 c gets rs 3825 as his share how many months after b joined the business did c join

Total investment period = 1 Year = 12 months

A started so A invested for 1 Year = 12 month

A invested = Rs 26000

A effective investment = 26000 * 12 = Rs 312000

B joined after 3 months so B investment period = 12 - 3 = 9 Months

B invested = Rs 16000

B effective investment = 16000 * 9 = Rs 144000

Let say C joined after x months of b joined then

c investment period = 9 - x months

C invested = Rs 25000

C effective investment = 25000 * (9-x) = Rs 225000 - 25000x

Total investment = 312000 + 144000 + 225000 - 25000x

= Rs 681000 - 25000x

C investment = Rs 225000 - 25000x

C Profit Share = Rs 3825

Total Profit = 15453

=> C investment / Total investment = C profit/Total Profit

=> (225000 - 25000x)/(681000 - 25000x)  = 3825/15453

=> 25(9000 - 1000x)/(681000 - 25000x)  = (153 * 25) /(153 * 101)

=> (9000 - 1000x)/(681000 - 25000x)  = 1 /101

=> 909000 - 101000x = 681000 - 25000x

=> 228000 = 76000 x

=> 228 = 76x

=> x = 3

so C joined 3 months after the b joined the business
