Accroding to the question,

A has invested ₹ X for 12 months and B has invested ₹X+4000 for 6 months only, then the profit share will also be for 6 months only.

The ratio of B’s profit to that of total profit is 3:7,

Let B’s profit is 3x

Then, A’s profit will be 4x, as total profit is 7x.

So, A to B ratio will be 4:3

X:(X+4000)/2=4:3

6X=4X+16000

2X=16000

X=8000

Hence A’s share is ₹ 8000.
