Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

  • A starts a business with a capital of 5,000
  • B and C join the business after 3 months and 5 months respectively.
  • B and C invests Rs. 6,000
  • and Rs. 8,000 in the business respectively

To find :

  • Part of the profit each one will get

Solution :

A Invested amount :

= 5,000 × 12 = 60,000

B Invested amount :

= 6,000 × 9 = 54,000

C Invested amount :

= 8,000 × 7 = 56,000

Ratio of investment :

  • 60,000 : 54,000 : 56,000
  • 60 : 54 : 56
  • 30 : 27 : 28

Total Profit = Rs. 3,400

A's Share =

⇒ 3,400 × (30/85) = 1,200

B's Share =

⇒ 3,400 × (27/85) = 1,080

C's Share =

⇒ 3,400 × (28/85) = 1,120

Therefore,

  • A get = Rs. 1,200
  • B get = Rs. 1,080
  • C get = Rs. 1,120
