a) when current carrying conductor is placed in an external magnetic field,it experiences a force perpendicular to both the field and the directions of current flow .
b) principle of motor: a motor works on the principle that when a rectangular coil is placed in a magnetic field and current is passed through it. a force acts on the coil and rotate it continuously.
