Answer:

a) F=ma

b) t=4s

Explanation:

According to the newton's second law of motion

Force is directly proportional to the rate of change of momentum

So, F ∝ m(v-u)/t

where F = force

          m= mass

          v=final velocity

          u= initial velocity

          t= time

          a= acceleration

F = k(m(v-u))/t  { k= proportionality constant }

m(v-u)/t= ma

F=kma

Here, through experiment k=1

F=ma

∴Proved

F=ma

5N= 10 ( 2m/s )/t

5= 20/t

5t=20

t=4s
