Atom

Atom is the smallest particle of an element

which is a non bonded entity

that may or may not exist freely

Molecule

A molecule is the smallest particle of an element or a compound

it is a bonded one

An atom consists of nucleus and some no. of electrons.Atoms have the same no. of protons and electrons, because otherwise, you would have an ion.

A molecule have two or more atoms bonded together. an atom is the smallest part of matter.

In a molecule, atoms are bonded together by single, double, or triple bonds. An atom has a nucleus surrounded by electrons. ... So another difference between atoms and molecules is that when similar atoms combine together in varying numbers, molecules of different properties can be formed.
