According to the problem the velocity of the man is v = 12 km/h

As the man is going with a constant velocity

Therefore change in velocity = 12 km/h

Now the rain is falling with angle of 60°

Therefore tan 60° = change in velocity/ velocity of the rain(v1)

              => √3 = 12/ v1

             => v1 = 12/√3

                        = 6.92 km/h
