A stationary mass suddenly explodes into two fragments so, here conservation of momentum will use because there is no external force . so, from conservation of momentum M1 V1 =M2 V2 .
Let M1 is greater than M2 then , V1 < V2 .
Now , Kinetic energy = MV^2/2. (^ sign denotes power or raise to ) .
kinetic energy is directly proportion to square of velocity . so, Kinetic energy of that part is more whose velocity is V2 because V2 is more than V1 .
