a stationary shopkeeper earn a profit of rs 2 by selling a pen and a loss of 3 by selling a note book.(1) if je sold 25 pens and 15cnotebooks on a day what would profit and or loss on that day? (2)what is the number of pens must be sell on a day to have neither loss or profit. if the number of nootebook sold on that day are 50

hey friend,here's your answer:

1) profit on 1 pen = 2 rupees
profit of 25 pens=50 rupees
loss on 1 note book=3 rupees
loss of 15 note book= 45 rupees
so total profit/loss =50-45 = 5 rupees
therefore he got a profit of rupees 5.
2) loss for 50 note books = 50*3=150 rupees.
he must sell 150 /2 =75 pens to make neither loss nor profit.
