1) profit on 1 pen = 2 rupees
profit of 25 pens=50 rupees
loss on 1 note book=3 rupees
loss of 15 note book= 45 rupees
so total profit/loss =50-45 = 5 rupees
therefore he got a profit of rupees 5.
2) loss for 50 note books = 50*3=150 rupees.
he must sell 150 /2 =75 pens to make neither loss nor profit.
