let the total number of units be x

65% of x + 175 = x

 \frac{65}{100}  \times x + 175 = x

 \frac{13x}{20}  + 175 = x \\ x -  \frac{13x}{20} = 175

\frac{20x-13x}{20}=175

\frac{7x}{20}=175

x= 500

so the total number of units is 500
