a stone and the earth attract each other with an equal and opposite force.why,then we see only the stone falling towards the earth but not the earth rising towards the stone?

earth and stone have gravitational pull but the gravitational pull of the earth dominates the stone and attracts it towards it and we can only see the stone falling, not the earth.
