Becuz the forces are equal and opposite.
Therefore F=ma = > a=F/m. in case of stone the mass is very small therefore large acceleration would be produced.

But as the acceleration is inversely proportional to mass therefore because of the huge mass the acceleration produced of earth towards stone is unnoticed and hence its negligible.

let the mass of stone be = m

let the acceleration of stone with which it is being attracted towards earth be = a

then the force applied by the earth on stone =f= ma

Now,

let the mass of earth be = M

let the acceleration of earth with which it is being attracted towards stone be = A

then the force of earth= F = MA

According to the third law of motion,

F = -f

MA = -ma

Now , as the mass of stone is very less as compared to that of earth, the acceleration of stone will be more than earth. The earth accelerates, but the it is very less that it can't be observed by us

Due to very very less acceleration of Earth, we see only the stone fallimg towards earth but no rising towards the stone
