Given :-

  • initial velocity, u = 0 m/s (rest)
  • time, t = 10 sec
  • gravitational acceleration,g = 9.8 m/s²

To Find :-

  • finaly velocity, v ?

Solution :-

we know by Newton's first equation for gravitation,

 \boxed{ \bold{gt = v - u}}

 \bold{: \implies 9.8 \times 10 = v - 0 } \\  \\  \bold{:  \implies 98 = v } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{:  \implies v = 98 \:  {m \: s}^{ - 1} } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

so, the velocity with which the stone hits the ground is 98 m/s
