Question:-

  • A stone falls from rest from the top of a high tower. ignore air resistance and take g =10m/s. Find its velocity after 1 , 2 , 3 , 5 seconds.

To Find:-

  • Find the time.

Solution:-

Given ,

  • u = 0 ; g = 10m/s² ; t = 1 ; v = ?

Formula to be Used:-

\tt \implies \: v = u + at

Find the velocity after 1 second:-

\tt \implies \: v = 0 + 10 \times 1

\tt \implies \: v = 10 \: m/s

Find the velocity after 2 second:-

\tt \implies \: v = 0 + 10 \times 2

\tt \implies \: v = 20 \: m/s

Find the velocity after 3 second:-

\tt \implies \: v = 0 + 10 \times 3

\tt \implies \: v = 30 \: m/s

Find the velocity after 5 second:-

\tt \implies \: v = 0 + 10 \times 5

\tt \implies \: v = 50 \: m/s

Hence ,

  • Velocity at 5 sec is 50 m/s
