Answer:

m = 250g = 0.25 kg

v = 2 m/s

Kinetic energy = 1/2 mv²

= 1/2×0.25×2²

= 1/2 × 0.25× 4

= 0.25 × 2

= 5 joules

Given:-

  • Mass of the stone (m) = 250g =250/1000=0.25kg

  • Velocity of stone (v) = 2m/s

To Find:-

  • Kinetic energy (K).

Solution:-

By using this formula

K = 1/2mv²

Put the values ,we get

⟹ K = 1/2×0.25×2²

⟹ K = 1/2 ×0.25 ×4

⟹ K = 0.25×2

⟹ K = 0.5 J

The Kinetic Energy of the stone have 0.5 Joule.

Additional Information !!

✧ The energy of an object because of its motion is called its kinetic energy.

✧ SI unit of Kinetic Energy is Joule (J).

✧ Mathematical Equation

⟹ K = 1/2mv²

here

k is the kinetic energy

m is the mass of object

v is the velocity of the object.
