h=50m
g= 10m/s2
v= 340 m/s
t=?
s=d/t
340 = 50/t
t= 50/340
t= 5/34

Sound will take time to first get produced and then to reach us.

Time taken by sound to hit the pond,

s = ut + ½ at²

50 m = (0)t + ½ × 10 × t²

10 m = t²

√10 m = 3.16 m = time

Time taken by sound to reach from pond to us,

t = d / s = 50 m / 340 m/s

= 0.14 s

Total time taken by sound to reach us,

= 3.14 s + 0.14 s = 3.3 seconds

➣ Answer : 3.3 seconds
