we will use 2nd equation of motion to solve this numerical which is :

S=Vit+1/2at^2

where s=distance, Vi= I initial velocity, a=acceleration and t=time

here

s=20m

Vi=0 m/s

t=?

a=10m/s

substitute the given values and the answer will be 2.

therefore the time taken for the stone to reach the ground is 2s.
