acceleration= 9.8m/s² (acceleration due to gravity)

t=?

W.K.T. s = ut+1/2at²

490= 0+ 1/2*9.8*t²

490= 4.9*t²

t²= 100

t = 10s

Therefore, the stone will hit the ground after 10 seconds.
