Given:-
- Height = 50m
- Acceleration due to gravity = + 10m/s²
- Initial Velocity of stone = 0m/s
To Find:-
- Time taken to reach the ground.
Formulae used:-
- s = ut + ½ × a × t²
Where,
- s = Distance
- u = Initial Velocity
- a = Acceleration
- t = Time
Now,
→ h = ut + ½ × gt²
→ 50 = 0 × t + ½ × 10 × t²
→ 50 = 0 + ½ × 10 × t²
→ 50 = 5t²
→ t² = 50/5
→ t² = 10
→ √t² = √10
→ t = 3.16s
Hence, The stone will take 3.16 seconds to reach the ground.
