Distance (s) =20 m

Initial velocity =0 m/s

g=10 m/s

2

By using the formula:

v

2

=u 2 +2asv 2

=0 2

+2×10×20 v 2

=400 v 2 = 400

v=20m/s

For calculating time:

V=u+at

20=0+10×t

t= 10 20

t=2 sec

The the stone will hit the ground with a velocity of 20 m/s in sec.

Answer:

u = 0

s = 500m

g=10m/s2

s =ut +1/2 at 2

500 = 0 + 1/2 X 10Xt^2

500 = 5+t^2

100 =t^2

t = 10s

V=u + at

= 0+10X10

= 100m/s
