a stone is dropped from a tower 45 metre high calculate its speed on reaching the earth​

Given:-

•Height of the tower(h)=45m

•Initial velocity(u)=0

•Acceleration due to gravity(g)=9.8m/s²

To find:-

•Final velocity of the stone(v)

Solution:-

By using the third equation of motion when u=0,we get----

=>v²=2gh

=>v²=2×9.8×45

=>v²=882

=>v=29.7m/s

Thus,spped of the stone on reaching the earth is 29.7m/s.

Note:-If we take g=10m/s²,then the final velocity will be 30m/s.
